Their favourite toy — the learner in this book (one photo + its name)
In this book your child’s own toy learns to use the potty and your child is the teacher. Add one clear photo of the teddy, bunny or whoever it is, and tell us its name — we paint it exactly, bow and worn patches included. No toy photo? We paint the book with your child as the learner instead.
So we know who we are talking to — and can reach you quickly if anything about your book needs a word before it is printed.
Ebook — £6.99. See every page first, pay only if you love it. Love it in your hands too? The printed British hardcover upgrade (£29.99, free UK delivery) comes with your finished ebook.

Why this book helps
Built on how potty training actually works — not on charm
Health visitors, the NHS and ERIC (the UK children’s bowel and bladder charity) give parents the same handful of steps: let a teddy try first, sit on the potty dressed, as play, praise every try, never shame an accident, and leave nights for later. Every one of those is a page in this book — in the order it really happens, so a child hears the whole routine in their own name before they are asked to do it.
The toy is the learner on purpose. Letting a doll or teddy “go first” is a technique the guidance recommends because it takes the pressure off the child. Here it is your child’s own toy — the one they trust — and your child is the teacher who shows it every step, then joins in (“Maja felt a wiggle too!”). Children learn most by teaching.
Written for the window that works. Research on when to start points to roughly two to two-and-a-half years, when a child can notice the feeling, get to the potty and follow a short routine — so this is a short rhyming book for a two-year-old’s attention, not a story for a five-year-old.
Kind words, no disgust. One study found children whose parents praised and used calm, matter-of-fact language about poo finished training sooner than those who heard “yuck” and “smelly”. So the poo page waves bye-bye and moves on, and the accident page says learning takes a while — because it does.
The story
What happens inside
Every page is one step of potty training in the order it really happens: the potty arrives, the toy sits on it (dressed, just to try), the wiggle that means 'now', the run to the potty, the wait, the TINKLE and the cheer, waving bye-bye to the poo, hands and bubbles, the puddle that is completely fine, big toilets at Granny's, big-kid pants, and nappies for sleep because nights can wait. Your child's real toy is the learner and your child is the teacher on every page — the gentlest way to rehearse the whole thing without any pressure on the child at all.

The Little Tailor Promise
You see your child painted into the story before you pay anything. If the preview doesn’t make you smile, you owe us nothing and your photo is deleted. And if you love it but something isn’t quite as you expected, tell us what’s off — we’ll fix it, free of charge. We’re not happy until the book has earned its place on the bedtime shelf.
Questions parents ask
Before you ask…
Will it actually look like my child?
That’s exactly why the preview is free. We paint your child from your photo: face, hair, skin tone, even the clothes they really wear. You judge the likeness with your own eyes before paying anything, and if a detail is off, tell us — we’ll fix it, free of charge.
What photo works best?
One clear, front-facing photo with their face easy to see — close up, in good daylight, looking at the camera, nothing in front of the face. The closer and clearer the face, the better the likeness on every page. You can change it later if the preview isn’t right.
What happens to the photo?
It’s used only to paint your book, then deleted within 30 days of your book being finished — and within 90 days if you never go ahead. It is never used to train an AI model and never shared. No account is created. Our photo promise →
What does it cost?
£6.99 for the ebook — and you see every page first, so you pay only if you love it. Love it? Upgrade to the printed British hardcover for £29.99, free UK delivery — the offer comes with your finished ebook. The whole journey, plainly →
How fast is delivery?
The free preview lands within 24 hours. The ebook is yours the moment you approve it; the hardcover upgrade is printed in Britain and typically arrives well inside two weeks.
